Caitie’s practice focuses on all aspects of patent protection. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecution patent applications, performing FTO searches and patentability searches, and assisting clients with IP strategy and management. Caitie has worked in various areas such as artificial intelligence, software, biotechnology, wearable technology,  Cleantech, Fintech, and medical devices. Caitie is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a PhD in Biochemistry. Prior to joining Own Innovation, she worked in-house at a Canadian wearable tech company as an Intellectual Property Specialist.
